Mum & Baby Yoga
This class is designed with the Mother’s wellbeing first and foremost in mind (with the added bonus of coming along with your baby).
When my children we babies, I needed to self-care but didn’t have an option where I could do this AND take my baby. At times, I felt alone/isolated and craved community, sharing & connection and am delighted to be able to offer this to you with Mum & Baby Yoga.
Mum & Baby Yoga offers Mental, Physical & Community Benefits.
In the space I create for you, anything goes! Tears (yours and your babies!), laughter, nappy changes, breast feeding, bottle feeding. It will be a non-judgmental and safe space. All you need to do is come and be yourself. We will ride the wave of motherhood together.
Benefits for you
To take time for you to self-care, to recover physically/emotionally/mentally, to learn how to relax, to improve sleep quality, to re-build self-confidence & to find internal peace. Learn how to adopt the ‘me too, not selfish’ mindset.
To learn to be more open around the shoulders/upper spine (postural benefits). To work on the circulation & lymphatic system (draining excess fluid), mobility & flexibility/to tone/close abdominals & realign internal organs.
Additional Benefits
When my babies were born I wasn’t sure what to do with them but felt pressured to stimulate them at the same time… this is an opportunity to share quality time with your baby & to get to know your baby whilst taking time for you and enjoying being part of a community. To feel supported if you are experiencing post natal depression (I experienced this with my son) or isolation - to know you are not alone.
Before you come to practice, I will ask you to have sign off from your healthcare professional. This is to take care of you which is of my upmost priority.
What next? Your first class is complimentary, after that if you and your baby decide to return you can sign up for the rest of the half term (I teach term-time only). I ask for this kind of commitment to allow us to get to know each other, for you and your baby to feel at home with me with an intention to commit to your self-care which is a priority.
What if I miss a class? You will be able to join another one of my online classes or watch a recorded video of the class that I will post in my membership area. The recorded class is also a great way to practice at home with your baby and also if you have other children at home.
